The Three Phases of Acupuncture Care
Phase 1: Relief (Acute Care) : Most patients begin their journey seeking quick relief from pain or specific symptoms. During this initial phase, the focus is on addressing your primary complaints and harmonizing your system. Depending on your age, lifestyle, and the balance of your Qi, frequent visits may be recommended over the first few weeks to significantly reduce or eliminate your discomfort.
Phase 2: Stability (Maintenance Care) Once your initial symptoms have subsided, you move into the Maintenance phase. Visits become less frequent as we work to support the progress you’ve achieved and provide a foundation for deeper healing. This is a critical stage: even if you feel better, continuing treatment allows us to address underlying issues and prevent a relapse from everyday stressors.
Phase 3: Vitality (Wellness & Prevention) In this final phase, visits may transition to monthly or quarterly “tune-ups.” These sessions strengthen your body’s natural resistance, keeping you balanced and proactive about your health. By catching small imbalances before they become major concerns, an acupuncture lifestyle helps you look, feel, and perform at your absolute best.
