Carissa Cheung DAOM, L.Ac
Carissa’s journey into healing began in a small village in China, but her professional path took an interesting detour through Silicon Valley. After earning a degree in Computer Engineering and spending over a decade as an ASIC designer for Hewlett-Packard in Roseville, Carissa experienced the transformative power of acupuncture firsthand. Inspired by her results, she decided to follow her passion for holistic health.
Carissa returned to her roots by attending Five Branches University, where she earned both her Master’s in Traditional Chinese Medicine (TCM) and her Doctorate of Acupuncture and Oriental Medicine. After years of intensive mentorship, she opened her private practice to share the benefits of TCM with her community.
Following 15 years in the San Francisco Bay Area, Carissa is thrilled to be back in Roseville. When she isn’t treating patients or teaching at Five Branches University, she enjoys hiking, cooking, gardening, and spending quality time with her family.
